Wasim Akram To Tie Knot With Melbourne Fiance

The most liked Pakistani cricket player Wasim Akram is set to tie the knot with his 30 years old Melbourne Fiance Shaniera Thompson.
Wasim Akram proposed Shaniera Thompson bending on knees in in their lounge room and according to a former public relations consultant from Brighton, Shaniera Thompson has also converted to Islam and calls Pakistan her home.

According to Shaniera Thompson, Wasim Akram asked her what her dream proposal would be and she said she is not the type of woman that likes a big scene. She would want it to be at home or somewhere private.

“Then I came into the lounge room and he was on his knee and asked me if I’d marry him. Akram was nervous about proposing in the traditional way. It was the romantic moment of my life because it was so genuine,” says Shaniera Thompson
Wasim Akram also asked Shaniera Thompson’s father and he blessed them both.
I never thought I would get married again, but I am lucky and very happy to find love again,” said Wasim Akram.

Wasim Akram’s first wife Huma passed away in 2009 and he also have two boys.

Mehreen Syed dropped from debut bollywood film

Mehreen Syed was supposed to make her Bollywood debut with director and screenwriter Chauhan’s latest [untitled] film. However, she is no longer a part of the project. The director says it was tough to cope and adjust with the stress of working with an artist from all the way across the border.

“It’s unfortunate, but true. I am not working with Mehreen Syed any more in my film,” said Chauhan. “Circumstances are such that we cannot really cope with the stress of having an actor from across the border in our project.”
37-year-old Chauhan, who earlier directed an international hit Lahore, admits there was a lot of trouble when he shot the film with another Pakistani actor.
“I had a traumatic time handling various political parties when I shot with Pakistani actor Rasheed Naz. I really don’t want to go through that again. Also, Mehreen recently got married. So she’s quite taken up with her new life,” he said.
There is no question of signing another Pakistani actor to play the Lahorian character in Chauhan’s film. He hopes to find an actor who can be accommodated with the rest of the cast.
“I have to shoot with the actor in Gujarat,” said the director, referring to restrictions on Pakistani nationals in the region.
Chauhan is currently on the look-out for another girl to replace Mehreen.

Haters will always hate, says Ayesha Omar

Ayesha Omar says , “I am extremely thrilled to have won,” she tells us via Facebook, as she is currently not in Pakistan. “I worked extremely hard on this album and I guess all the hard work paid off.”
While she is travelling and has not come across the Twitter posts and articles lambasting the LSA platform for awarding her the trophy, she does add, “Haters will always hate and obviously jealousy will always exist! People who lose will always be sore.”Ayesha also said, “The critics don’t always understand the way the minds of the masses work. Anything can appeal to them. Even something that is not technically great. Another huge music project is coming out right after Eid… you will see me performing in that as well. So the critics should wait and check that out.”
She says she feels honoured to have been nominated along with “huge names” like Sajjad Ali and Sajid and Zeeshan, whose music she says “has always been a source of inspiration and motivation”.
“I never expected to win,” she admits. “I don’t even come close to their experience and skill but this was a voting category and I guess music listeners and fans out there did like something about my album. The criticisers have a right to state their views.”
