In interview when Meera Jee asked why has nt worked with any big banner in bollywood she cracked a joke ” Actually I was supposed to be a part of Yashraj Films but unfortunately didn’t get the visa in time. I believe it was one of my life’s greatest opportunities that I missed and I’ll regret it all my life.It was such a grand film, which was to be shot in London and India. The role was of the second lead female and actors included none other then Shahrukh and Katrina Kaif. Yes! I am talking about the role which Anushka Sharma done in Jab Tak Hai Jaan.”Well this is not enough she also added “I was never that interested in Bollywood. If I was, I would have been another Madhuri Dixit” Haha Meera Jee you are certainly has not changed at all in the last 16 years.
Jemima Khan and Russell Brand romance in public
We didn’t see this coming, ladies man Russell Brand is reportedly dating millionairess Jemima Khan and the pair seemed to confirm their romance as they strolled arm-in-arm around new York’s East Village. Russell recently admitted to dating someone in a piece he wrote in The Guardian but refused to identify who the mysterious lady was, writing ‘I’m not typically immune to the allure of objectified women, but I am presently beleaguered by a nerdish, whirling dervish, and am eschewing all others.’The duo were pictured looking relaxed in each others company with Russell looking his usual eclectic self and Jemima dressed casually in blue jeans and a white shirt. 38-year-old Russell is believed to have met Jemima two years ago when she commissioned him to write an article for the Left-wing New Statesman magazine when she was its guest editor.Jemima is the daughter of the late Lord Goldsmith, one of the UK’s wealthiest men and was married to the Pakistani cricketer turned politician Imran Khan, with whom she has two teenage sons. She also dated Hugh Grant for many years. Brand was married to singer Katy Perry but their divorce was made official in July 2012.
Aisam-ul-Haq To End His Marriage With Faha Akmal
Pakistan’s famous Tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi is suffering through tough time in his marital life and has finally decided to break her marriage with Faha Akmal.
Aisam-ul-Haq has admitted that he and Faha Akmal are no more together and he has sent divorce papers to Faha as well. Faha Akmal, who is a clinical psychotherapist by profession, also has differences with husband Aisam-ul-Haq since their marriage on December 17, 2011 and has finally confirmed to end her marriage after the meeting of their elders. Faha Akmal has declared her split with Aisam-ul-Haq through social networking website Twitter.

“Zinda Bhaag” nominated for Oscar consideration
Pakistani film Zinda Bhaag has been nominated by the Pakistani Academy
Selection Committee (PASC) for Oscar consideration, Express News
reported on Friday. Zinda Bhaag will be Pakistan’s first official entry
in the the “Foreign Film” category after Ghoonghat which was nominated
for Oscar consideration in 1963. A total of four films were submitted to
the committee for consideration including Chambeli, Josh and Lamha
(Seedlings). The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will choose
the final nominees for all award categories including Best Foreign
Language Film by 8th January 2014. The complete and final list of Oscar
nominees will be announced on 16th January 2014. PASC member Mohsin
Hamid said, “Zinda Bhaag is funny, natural, hip, and casually audacious –
A real step forward for contemporary Pakistani cinema and a pleasure to
watch.” The film which also stars Indian celebrity Naseeruddin Shah
will be released in cinemas across the country on September 20. Directed
by Meenu and Farjad, Zinda Bhaag has primarily been shot in Lahore.
“The story of the film revolves around a group of four friends who are
on the lookout of finding a quick way to earn fame and wealth,” reported
Azam Khan, Express News correspondent. Film director Meenu said, “This
is great news! After 50 years, this is Pakistan’s official entry to the
Academy.” “Pakistan’s film industry is back,” she added. Zinda Bhaag has
also won four awards in Mosaic MISAFF festival which was held last
month at the Mississauga City Centre, Toronto. The Mosaic festival is
the largest South Asian festival visited by more than 70,000 people from
all over Canada each year.
