fashion beauty lifestyle style
Time seems to fly, it is September already. Fall is just around the corner; the dog days are over no more terrible hot weather, It’s more about cool temperature (not so cool to be honest), our favorite TV shows premieres and more than ever the best Fall/Winter trends ….Let’s face it: It’s fall, even if it’s 40C outside. For now what would be better than assembling a fall wardrobe?!
Grunge is Back
Punk, a little rock and heavy metal and here we are a blast from the 80s. Yeah, Grunge is back. It just hit Fall/Winter 2013 runway. Starting by Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Gaultier and the list is endless. They all showed studded ankle boots, black leather skirts, fishnet tights, oversized plaid shirts worn over dresses and my favorite biker jackets. It’s all about embracing your teen spirit.
Pretty in Pink
Whether you will go for a total look or you will wear it with soft grey or black, Pink is the must have color for this season. You would wear it day or night. Show your feminine romantic side through head-to-toe rose tones. A pink woolen coat would be a real investment. Dior, Chanel, Nina Ricci whatever brand pops to your mind you will find pink in their collection.
Fair and Square
It won't be fair to talk about Fall trends without mentioning the tartan trend. Jean Paul Gaultier, Dolce Gabbana, Versace, Stella McCartney, Céline It just took the runways by storm. Red checks, laundry-bag squares in blue, green or black; you can wear it top to toe or just wear a plaid shirt over your floral mini dress and Voila you got two trends in one outfit, think smart it’s all about how to mix and match.
The Lady Look
Streamlined silhouettes, soft shoulders, cinched waists, rounded hips, lowered necklines and flaring skirts are just the perfect mix to show your elegance and womanly charms. Looks like fashion designers were paying a tribute to the 40s fashion heroine like Ingrid Bergman, Katherine Hepburn and Veronica Lake. A skinny belt, a neat peplum jacket and a fifties prom skirt and here you are. Wear a long skirt with simple flats and a knit and you have one of this season's easily wearable trends.
There are so many trends still to talk about. Have some time, do your homework and take in what you have just read. Fashion trends have many options, don’t be afraid to try something new or to be Avant-Gardiste but take care not to fall as a fashion victim. Stay tuned for more Fall trends.
